Timothy Kochka started dacning at the Davis Academy of Irish dance when he was thirteen years old. He has the distinction of winning the World Irish Dance Championships two times, the All Ireland Championships three times and the North American Championships three times. He has been named one of Irish American Magazine‘s Top 100 Irish Americans of the Year on two separate occasions. Tim has performed in the Broadway shows Riverdance and The Pirate Queen. He has also toured extensivley through North American and Asia with Riverdance. Mr. Kochka has performed at Radio City Music Hall, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, The Pantages Theater, New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Hershey Park, The View, Goodmorning America, The Ellen Show and Dancing with the Stars. In the fall of 2005, Tim took and passed his T.C.R.G. examination, the certification to teach Irish Dance. Tim is also currently dancing with Darrah Carr Dance and Maxine Steinman. Tim is a recent graduate of the BFA Dance program at Montclair State University. During his time at MSU Tim has performed in the works of Alwin Nikolais, Murray Louis, May O’Donnell, Danny Shapiro and Joanie Smith, Bill T. Jones, Susan Marshall, Maxine Steinman, Nancy Lushington, Lonne Moretton, Donna Scro-Gentile, Joelle Van Sickle, and Kim Whittam.
